Virtus Yachts 44M

The new Virtus 44-meter luxury yacht, built by the esteemed Turkish yard Mengi Yay, was designed by VYD with Ginton Naval Architects doing the naval architecture. Expected to be delivered in 2019, the steel-hulled, aluminum-superstructure Virtus 44M can accommodate up to 10 guests comfortably along with 8 crew members. She has a top speed of 15 knots pushed by twin Cat C-32 Acert 1,450 HP diesel engines. When asked about the new Virtus 44 project, VYD’s Paolo Dose commented, “Virtus is the product of a strong and elegant design approach, with a sleek profile and innovative technology. As of the end of June, 2018, the Virtus 44M has reached the final stages of construction and moved hangars to the Tuzia shipyard. The yacht will now begin finishing the exterior and interior spaces with its first sea trial to come in mid-2019 in Istanbul.
