Offering the GT45X with two interior layout options gives owners the choice to build a more private cruising sportfish if they wish. The master stateroom is placed forward and features a queen-sized island berth with a porthole overhead for natural light and plenty of storage space in the cabinet-lined walls. The head near the master stateroom is surprisingly big for a mid-forty foot boat and has a walk-in shower stall and matching countertops to the galley. When choosing the two-stateroom layout, the additional cabin is designed with over-under bunks.
The salon and galley are open with lots of natural light from overhead skylights that Hatteras utilizes in all of its fleet, including the 100’ Raised Pilothouse Motor Yacht. The wrap-around seating and pedestal table offer plenty of space in front of the flatscreen television. The galley comes equipped with everything needed to keep a hungry crew fed including a ceramic cooktop, microwave, and refrigerated drawers, including additional refrigeration in the aft bulkhead. The finishes are extravagant with the owner’s choice of wood color.
For the serious angler wanting to fish on the GT45X, the cockpit provides plenty of room for a fighting chair or a teak leaning post with rod holders. Whether fishing or cruising, everyone on board will enjoy the comfortable mezzanine seats that have a movable arm rest and cooler within reach. All decks are teak which makes for a striking cockpit that will turn heads at the dock.
Powered by twin Caterpillar C-12A 705hp diesel engines or the optional CAT C-18 1150hp engines, owners have the choice to go fast if they need to. The latter engines will produce a top speed of over 40-knots allowing the GT45X to maintain position with much larger vessels that have bigger engines. Cruising speeds in the 30-knot range will give owners the ability to get to their destination more quickly as well.
