Christopher J. Santarsiero was born and raised in sunny South Florida and quickly acquired extensive marine knowledge early on in his life due to his father’s love for boating and fishing. Chris and his father shared a passion for fishing and simply just being out on the water as they traveled and fished all through the Bahamas. This led Chris to pursue a mate’s position right out of high school earning his way up to Captain in his early twenties. Chris has traveled and professionally fished the Dominican Republic, Central America, the Caribbean, and one of the seven wonders of the world, Australia’s Great Barrier Reef.

During his favorite season working as a Captain in Australia, Chris earned his first Australian record, a 162-pound black marlin on an 8-pound line class International Game Fish Association (IGFA). He most recently won the IGFA Invitational Light Tackle Tournament 2020 in Palm Beach, Florida. Chris has a 100-Ton Boat Captain’s License and has extensive marine knowledge in the sport fishing industry. He also has managed major restorations and maintenance of sport fishing yachts.
