The Thompson Bros. Cruisers Yachts is just the perfect example of showing their craftsmanship by becoming one of the world’s premier providers of midsize to luxury yachts. Thompson Bros. Boat Manufacturing started their legacy of a family boat building business in the small town of Peshtigo, Wisconsin in 1904 and began building wood lapstrake outboard cabin cruisers in the early 1950s. The world’s first cruisers were then introduced in 1956, and soon replaced with fiberglass, as new technology was unveiled to the boating industry. As time went on, Roy Thompson retired and the company was no longer ran by a Thompson for the first time in history. The Cruiser line was then sold to KC International Inc. to ensure its legacy and longevity, which eventually changed the name to Cruisers Yachts.
